However, travelling by public transit is difficult in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides. Nevertheless, there are around 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides is not very conducive to those who travel by foot because many daily needs are impractical to carry out by walking. Bicycling is also difficult in this neighbourhood because there are very few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of elevation changes.

Parents may consider it challenging for their children to get to high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Likewise, daycares are not especially plentiful and thus not always within walking distance.
