Thunder Bay is especially car friendly. Parking is generally easy. However, the public transit service in Thunder Bay is rather poor. Nonetheless, there are about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Most homes for sale in this city are located in areas that are not very well-suited for walking since running common errands is inconvenient.

There are only a few high schools and primary schools in Thunder Bay and consequently they can be a rather long walk away. In addition, it can be challenging to reach daycares on foot. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. In terms of food, accessing one of over 50 grocery stores by walking is an option for some, but not all, house buyers in Thunder Bay. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.
Character
Thunder Bay is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some areas can be quite loud, especially close to the airport (YQT) or one of the railway lines.
