Transportation
The car is usually the best method to get around in this neighbourhood. It is very easy to access a place to park, and most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407. However, this part of Oakville is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally a short walk away. Bicycling is difficult in this part of the town because riding is made strenuous by the typically sloping topography, and there are very few bike lanes. Northwest Oakville is also not very suitable for walking because very few common errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle.
Services
Getting to the closest supermarket by walking is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the town. There are a few opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants. With regards to education, Northwest Oakville does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, parents and their kids may find it very hard to get to daycares on foot.
Character
There is a wide variety of green spaces in Northwest Oakville. There are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in, such as West Oakville Sports Park and Palermo Park, which makes it easy to reach them. Finally, it is relatively quiet in this part of the town, since there are very few pedestrians.
