The preferred way to get around in this area is very often a car. Nearby highways, such as Highway 420, are reasonably easy to access from anywhere in Elgin, and it is very convenient to park. However, Elgin is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there is the Niagara Falls Station on the Lakeshore West Line. House owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close. It is occasionally challenging for people walking to get around in this area since few common errands can be run on foot.


Parents and their schoolchildren will value that no matter where their house is situated in Elgin, both primary and secondary schools are close by. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. In contrast, it can be difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian.
