Transportation
Sheridan is an extremely good part of Mississauga for getting around by car. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, are quite easy to drive to from anywhere in Sheridan. However, public transit users may find limited options in Sheridan due to the infrequent service. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically a short walk away. The bicycle is a sometimes poor method of transportation in Sheridan as the cycling network is not particularly comprehensive, and cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes. Nonetheless, biking is more feasible in certain sectors than others. Sheridan is also not very suitable for walking since few common errands can be run on foot.
Services
Some, but not all, house buyers in Sheridan will reside within walking distance of the closest grocery store. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well. With respect to education, it is a rather short walk to reach both primary and secondary schools from most properties for sale in Sheridan. Families benefit from public and private elementary schools. In contrast, daycares are not plentiful and accordingly not always within walking distance.
Character
The character of Sheridan is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This part of the city is quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder areas, especially around Queen Elizabeth Way. Finally, there are about 20 public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, including Sheridan Park and Bruce Reynolds Park, resulting in them being easy to reach from most locations in the neighbourhood.
