Most houses for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Lincoln M Alexander Parkway, and parking is quite easy. In contrast, getting around by public transit is difficult in Kernighan. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Travelling by foot is not very common in this part of the city, even though carrying out daily needs is easy on foot. Kernighan is also not very bike-friendly since this area is home to a quite bad cycling infrastructure. Nevertheless, there are a limited number of elevation changes.
