Transportation
Bowmanville is an extremely good part of Clarington for getting around by car. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is very convenient to park. However, the public transit service in this part of the municipality is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically relatively close by. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in Bowmanville since meeting daily needs is sometimes difficult by walking.
Services
Primary schools are easy to access on foot from most houses for sale in Bowmanville. In contrast, high schools are not very abundant and accordingly not always within walking distance. With regards to food, reaching the closest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of Clarington. There are also a few options for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes.
Character
Bowmanville is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially near one of the railway lines or Highway 401.
