This area is very car friendly. It is very easy to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, Horseshoe Bay is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this part of West Vancouver as running common errands is inconvenient. Horseshoe Bay is also not very bicycling-friendly because the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there are quite a few hills.

Parents and their schoolchildren will appreciate that wherever their property is located in this part of West Vancouver, primary schools are close by. In contrast, there are no high schools in this part of the municipality. Regarding eating, the nearest supermarket in this neighbourhood is generally only a short walk away. This part of West Vancouver is also reasonably good for those who need quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.
