Ambleside will appeal to active people as it is quite suitable for walking; most daily needs are easy to carry out on foot. Even though cycling is more practical in some pockets than others, this area is not very suited for biking as there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is rather limited. Public transit users may find limited choices in this part of the municipality as a result of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. On the other hand, driving is a very good transportation option in Ambleside. It is a short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in Ambleside, and it is easy to park.
