Transportation
The car is usually the preferred way to navigate Sea Island. Finding a parking spot is generally easy. However, Sea Island is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there is YVR - Airport Station, Templeton Station and Sea Island Station on the Canada Line. There is the YVR Airport Station, Templeton Station and Sea Island Sentre on the Canada Line. Property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since many daily needs are impractical to carry out by walking. It is also challenging to get around by bike in this part of the city as the bicycling network is not very well-developed, and riding is made strenuous by the typically steep topography.
Services
Some home buyers in this part of Richmond may have the option to do their groceries by walking, while others will have to rely on another means of transportation. However, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a limited number of cafes is available as well. With respect to education, there are only a limited number of primary schools in this part of Richmond and thus they can be a rather long walk away. Likewise, Sea Island does not have any high schools. Additionally, it can be difficult to reach daycares on foot.
Character
There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Sea Island. There are over 100 parks nearby for residents to unwind in, which makes them very easy to reach from most locations in this part of Richmond. Lastly, this neighbourhood remains relatively calm, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets.
