It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in this neighbourhood, and parking is easy. In contrast, the public transit service in Capilano is fairly poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Bicycling is difficult in Capilano because cyclists are faced with quite a few hills, and the cycling network is not very extensive. Travelling by foot in Capilano is also not very popular, although many daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car.


Families will welcome that no matter where their property is located in Capilano, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, this part of the municipality does not contain any high schools. With respect to food, it is frequently an option for property owners in this part of District of North Vancouver to do groceries by walking.
