This part of the city is especially car friendly. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this area. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from the Maple Meadows Station with access to the Wce | West Coast Express. The neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Bicycling is at times difficult in Hammond as there are few bike lanes, and the terrain is not particularly flat. Hammond is also not especially conducive to walking because running daily errands is sometimes difficult on foot.

The noise levels in this neighbourhood are also quite low, as the streets are generally reasonably peaceful - although that is not the case near the railway line.
