In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this area. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from the Maple Meadows Station with access to the Wce | West Coast Express. The neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. Bicycling is at times difficult in Hammond as there are few bike lanes, and the terrain is not particularly flat. Hammond is also not especially conducive to walking because running daily errands is sometimes difficult on foot.


Parents and their schoolchildren will value that wherever their house is located in Hammond, primary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are no high schools in Hammond.
