Sardis, Chilliwack, British Columbia Real Estate and Homes for Sale
Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing about half of dwellings in Sardis, while small apartment buildings and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. This area did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new dwellings in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in recent history. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while the rest are rented. Transportation
Cars are an excellent transportation option in Sardis. It is very easy to park, and many houses for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, this neighbourhood is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in Sardis because most daily needs are challenging to meet without the use of a car.
Services
In Sardis, parents and their kids will often be able to reach primary schools and daycares by walking. In contrast, this part of the city does not have any high schools. Regarding eating, the nearest grocery store in Sardis is typically only a rather short walk away. Residents can enjoy over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
Character
Sardis is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the railway line. Parks aren't well-distributed, making them very difficult to access.
