The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Greendale Area is an important part of its character. The best approach to move around in Greendale Area is usually driving. It is very easy to park. However, Greendale Area is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines. This area is not very convenient for those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is impractical by walking.
A fraction of residents in Greendale Area may be able to shop for groceries on foot, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. There are also a few choices for those who value nearby restaurants. In terms of education, there are only a few primary schools in Greendale Area and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Moreover, Greendale Area does not contain any high schools. Likewise, families may find it difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian.
Greendale Area is good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Public green spaces aren't well-situated, making them very difficult to reach.
